How lives have changed
Jesse's House
Is a transitional home for single moms and their children.
Our goal is to support the moms as they become financially independent and able to support their families.
Jesse’s House believes in the restoration of the whole person. We put an emphasis on mental, emotional, spiritual, physical and financial healing. Our program includes support in education, basic life skills, healthy living, relationship skills, mentorship and Bible Study. Within the house, moms and their children live in community, encouraging a family atmosphere.
Before Jesse’s House, Karla was jobless and living with her 4 children in her car and motels. She graduated from the program and has moved into an apartment with her children. She worked hard to make the necessary changes in her life to accomplish this, and credits her success to God and the people God placed in her life.

Frank has suffered from mental and physical trauma that he endured as a young person. He was living in an emergency homeless shelter for four years before he received housing. We began to build a connection with Frank about 2 years ago, but only really started to get to know him when he joined a Bible study group we facilitate. Before joining the group he was experiencing loneliness as he had lost all his family. Frank contributes so much to our community. He is well versed in Scripture and loves the Lord.
Vivian was living in a shelter almost 5 years ago. When Covid shut everything down, we lost contact with her for almost 2 years. The results of Covid weren’t all bad though: Vivian and her son got housing and when we finally reconnected it was as though we were never apart. Vivian was raised as a Buddhist, but was so hungry to know about Jesus. After extensive conversations about Jesus, Vivian decided she wanted to surrender her life to Him. Since then, she has been baptized, attends Bible Study and church. She is so eager to learn and grow in her faith.

Angel and her children had lost their apartment the day we made contact with her. She not only has 4 children, but one of them is severely disabled and suffers from many health challenges. We have since helped her with getting into an apartment.
